See my first post on the Kindle Fire.  This area will be dedicated to which apps I have working and the status of the others I want to get going (apps that require sideloading).  Anything marked with a * requires root, at least initially.

  • Android Market* - Working
  • APPY Geek - Working
  • DirecTV Remote – Working
  • Dropbox – Working (you can install directly from the Dropbox website)
  • Facebook – Crashes
  • Facebook Messenger – Not attempted due to Facebook app crashes
  • Firefox – Haven’t tested yet, but should work directly from the Android Market
  • GMail – Working (with sync)
  • Google + - Working (with sync)
  • Google Calendar* - Working (with sync)
  • Google Contacts* - Working (with sync)
  • Google Docs - Working (with sync)
  • Google Maps - Working (with sync)
  • Google Music - Working (with sync)
  • Google Reader - Working (with sync)
  • Google Street View - Working
  • Google Talk - Working
  • Google Voice - Working (with sync and push)
  • Moron Test (Game) – Installed from Android Market, but fails to recognize orientation
  • NFL Mobile – Not attempted due to NHL GameCenter crashes
  • NHL GameCenter – Crashes
  • PPT Remote – Haven’t tried yet
  • PrinterShare – Working
  • ReadItLater – Purchased version - Working (installed from Android Market)
  • Thumb Keyboard
  • Unified Remote – Issues with paid version
  • XBMC Remote – Working
  • YouTube - Working

    I just installed XBMC and Unified remote. XBMC appears to be working fine, thought with Unified It did not install as the paid version like on my phone, but otherwise it seems to be working fine.
